Teenage Mom

Aside from Olivia's current sneaky behavior (ie., today she helped me make brownies. As they cooled on the counter and I took a shower, she grabbed a knife and cut a hole in the middle and served chunks to Lila and herself), she provides us with quite a few laughs. Here are two examples from today:

  • I caught her sneaking out the front door. When I asked her where she was going, she sighed and said, "I'm going for a run because I'm a teenager and I'm a mom!" She then ran out the door pushing a baby in a stroller.
  • We were watching a dance show on TV and I asked, "Do you think you want to be a dancer when you grow up?" to which she replied, "Mom. I already am a dancer!" and proceeded to point her toes and demonstrate her best arabesque.
  • Always a complimentary taste tester, Olivia recently taste tested pumpkin cheesecake and creme de menthe brownies: "I cannot believe my mind! Both are so good!"
