Let's Hear it for The Boy!

Post Graduation Family Picture (It was humid and HOT - but, the girls and I stuck around for this guy!)

We left Portugal a year ago (you'll remember that I left kicking and screaming) and moved to Kansas so Matt could go to school. He attended a school for the Army (ILE) and also entered a master's degree program with Central Michigan University.

All year, Matt had incredible focus. He worked his butt off. Night after night, he would fall asleep at his computer in his office. I can't even tell you how many nights he crept into bed around four in the morning. You must understand that this could not have been easy for him. He worked well over 60-hours-a-week in Portugal and before that, he spent 16-months in Iraq. He's been GO GO GO for several years now and, with a deployment to Iraq coming up next month, it's not going to get any easier for him.

So, I have to give him an extra special shout-out and congrats because all his hard work and determination paid off. He graduated from ILE and his master's program this week with straight A's! This was a very big change from his days in college over a decade ago. He has every reason to be just as proud of himself as we are!

Congrats!!
